WHAT IS AÇAÍ AND WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
The Amazonia rainforest
The açaí berry grows deep in the Amazonia rainforest. The açaí fruit is small, round, and very dark purple. Most of the berry is seed—about 90%. It’s no surprise that harvesting and extracting the pulp, which makes up only 10%, is a labor-intensive process.
HOW IS GROWN?
The açaí palm grows only in the wild in humid areas. For this reason, harvesting can only be done manually, climbing to the top of the palm and picking the clusters one by one. The palm requires very high humidity levels to produce fruit, which is why it only grows on the Amazon.

Our Team
Amazonia Açaí was born from the entrepreneurial spirit of two young surfers on the beaches of Brazil. Raphael Cantarini, co-founder of the brand, brought his knowledge of açaí and its export. Carmen Zuazu contributed her expertise on the Spanish market, importation, and how to adapt açaí to Spanish culture. Amazonia Açaí has been a dream realized with great effort and love for açaí, believing that people in Europe should discover its beneficial properties. We feel a deep affection for both açaí and our customers, and we’ll make you feel at home, always remembering our beloved Brazil.
